Here at The Little Lotus, we believe in relaxation for the mind, body and soul starting from a young to help the children develop skills, allowing them to connect with their true self and how they feel.
We use Yoga and Meditation daily to encourage children to help process their emotions.
We are very lucky to have a qualified yoga teacher who visits us weekly and carries out a session through stories and songs. Our children love this session. Nadia makes it fun and extremely engaging for all involved.
Through these sessions children will recognise and name the emotion they are feeling and they learn strategies to deal how they feel.
We continue to promote this daily into our practice and encourage yoga breathes if a child is going through an emotion they are finding hard to deal with.
Yoga has a number of difference benefits for children, some of these include; patience, developing balance and flexibility, enhancing concentration and improving posture. Benefits from meditation, relaxation and mindfulness include; calming and clearing the mind, building confidence and self esteem and developing discipline and self-control.
